This project involved the renovation and reprogramming of a Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, and Breakfast Area.
By wrapping and opening the existing stair volume; a solid core that obstructed movement between the public areas of the house was transformed into a multifunctional core that provides a pantry, storage, bookcases, and allows for visual connection between the public areas of the house.
As you circulate around the core, it's function, color and transparency change.
